A letter from us
Hello and welcome,
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve questioned education at some point in your life. Maybe you’ve wondered why learning so often feels disconnected from curiosity and the natural dynamism of people. Maybe you’ve questioned whether schools and universities are truly preparing people for life. Maybe you’ve felt that your potential was never fully understood or supported. Or perhaps you’ve simply felt that there must be a better way.
So have we.
If you’ve ever felt like the education system doesn’t honour how you are built, if you’ve ever questioned whether something was wrong with you because you learn(ed) differently, thought differently, you felt a big part of your interests or approach to learning wasn’t met or simply couldn’t thrive on the path that was expected of you—you are not alone.
Millions of people have asked themselves those same questions. Too many have believed they were alone. We hope this movement changes that. We welcome you home to the community of people who felt the same.
You are not alone.
Although we come from different backgrounds and sometimes approach these questions from different perspectives, we share the same belief: education is one of the most important forces shaping our lives and who we become. Education matters because it shapes every aspect of society. It influences how we think, how we see the world, how we behave and interact with one another, what opportunities are made available to us, how we understand ourselves, and ultimately the kind of society we create together.
This movement exists because we believe meaningful change in education is both necessary and possible. And the time is now!
We want to create a place where people can openly question today’s education system, share experiences and research, explore new ideas, develop practical alternatives and guiding resources, influence educational policy, and work together to build something genuinely better.
We also believe meaningful change requires both understanding the problems we face today and building the solutions of tomorrow.
This movement brings together two complementary perspectives on the future of education.
Mantvydas’s Education Manifesto questions many of the fundamental assumptions on which today’s education system is built and explores whether they still serve the needs of individuals, society, and the world we live in today. Diana’s work on Holistic Education focuses on enabling children become functional adults by developing a matrix of maturity dimensions (mental, emotional, financial etc.) and supporting them to acquire the desired capabilities.
We don’t believe a better education system is a distant dream.
We believe it’s something people can begin building today—together.
We believe education isn’t just something that happens in classrooms. It starts happening way before school and continues into adulthood. It is a system of ideas, institutions, people, incentives, and opportunities that shapes how people live their entire lives. That’s why we believe every part of it deserves to be questioned, understood, and improved.
Education is one of the very few things that connects all of us.
Every single person has gone through the education system in one way or another. Every single person has learned. That makes this conversation universal.
Which means this movement belongs to all of us.
Whether you’re a student, parent, teacher, researcher, entrepreneur, policymaker—or simply someone who has never sat in a classroom—you already have a reason to be here.
